CHICAGO – January 9, 2007 – To celebrate Black History Month, Cerqua Rivera Dance Theatre (CRDT) will once again commemorate African American icons for its annual Winter Concert Series Jubilation. The inspiring and innovative performance will tell the personal and public stories encompassing some of history’s most significant figures and events.
Jubilation runs February 22nd and 23rd, 2008 at 7:30pm at the Columbia College Chicago Music Department, 1014 S Michigan Avenue, Chicago, IL 60605. Matinee performances on February 19th and 21st at 12:00pm are also available to school groups and community organizations.The program also features original music compositions by resident composers Joe Cerqua, Donald Neale, and Stu Greenspan, and choreography by Dionna Pridgeon and Eddy Ocampo. The company will also be joined by the Choir Academy of Chicago for this uplifting suite.
