Grab a blanket or lawn chair, and enjoy an outdoor concert in Rose Tree Park. Singer and guitarist Charlie Gracie, a native of South Philadelphia, topped the American and British music charts in the late fifties with the hit songs “Fabulous,” “Ninety-Nine Ways,” “Wanderin’ Eyes,” and “I Love You So Much It Hurts.” His hits bankrolled Philly’s famous Cameo-Parkway record label, and Charlie made frequent appearances on “Dick Clark’s American Bandstand” and “The Ed Sullivan Show.” A consummate music man, Charlie has been called “brilliant” by George Harrison, described as an inspiration by Graham Nash and has toured with Van Morrison. To this day, Charlie tours Europe twice annually, and enjoys a strong following in clubs and resorts in the U.S.
