The Harlequin Duck, named for it's colorful plumage reminiscent of a court jester, is a special treat to watch as it rides waves along rocky coats. We'll travel to Cape Ann, one of the best places to view these and other ducks that winter along the Massachusetts coast. - - The Chickadee Birders Club at Drumlin Farm is for children ages 7-11 that have an interest in birds and want to learn more. We will introduce the basics of birding, bird life, and seasonal migration through talks, activities, and field trips. Birding is a lifelong skill that can lead to greater overall interest in the outdoors and the environment; it's never too early to get started learning the birding basics. Children are welcome to come to the club meetings alone, or to bring one adult with them. For more information about the Chickadee Birders' Club please contact Becky Gilles at bgilles@massaudubon.org or 781-259-2223. Registration is required. Call 781-259-2200 for details.
