The new event in the China Economic Review Breakfast Series is coming up on August 27, this time featuring guest speaker Andy Xie, an independent economist and former managing director of Morgan Stanley's Asia Pacific economics team.
This follows the first two successful breakfast events in the series in June and July at which China economists James Kynge and Andy Rothman spoke of their concerns about inflation and restructuring. This third breakfast once again offers you an opportunity to gain insights into China's fast-shifting economic scene, keep up to date and network with other key people in the China business community.
Andy will be addressing China's economic outlook now that the Olympics are finally behind us, the impact of the US slowdown on China, and the extent to which this will be offset by the country's growing trade with other emerging markets. Graham Earnshaw, editor-in-chief of Xinhua Finance, will also join in the discussion.
Each event of the series features a keynote speaker and a discussion with audience interaction, giving you a chance to ask questions of the experts and express your view on what's happening right now.
