'Cinema Remixed and Reloaded: Black Women Artists and the Moving Image Since 1970,' includes works by more than 40 artists and features the time-based genres of cinematic video, video art, and the more recent arena of new media. It features Works by artists who began working with time-based media in the 1970s which will be examined alongside mid-career and emerging artists. The exhibition traces the evolution of video presentation and content over the last thirty years and chronicles the exemplary contributions that black women have made to the field of contemporary art.
