Civil War Era Base Ball September 9, 2006

Come join the Essex Base Ball Club as they return vintage base ball to Lawrence, MA on Saturday September 16th at 11am when they take on the Cornish Game Hens of Providence, RI. The teams will turn back the clocks and show fans how base ball (two words back then) was played for fun and amusement in 1861. Fans may even get the opportunity to try their hand at playing a few innings. This event will be sponsored by the Lawrence Sons of Italy and will take place at their lodge located at 155 Marston St Lawrence, MA 01841. Admission is free so bring a blanket or chair and enjoy the action.
