The Littleton Museum Presents a Classical Concert by Out of Context:
Alison Lowell, Oboe, Sloan Hoffmann, Horn, David Plylar, Piano.
Out of Context is an ensemble that plays adventurous music and transcriptions at the highest level. What began as an oboe/piano duo in 2006 has expanded into a dynamic ensemble of flexible instrumentation. Presenting concerts and workshops across the country, Out of Context brings out the passion, elegance, wit and drama of any work. Their core belief is that programming should be innovative and exciting. The trio is on concert tour with performances in Montana, Wyoming and Colorado, including at the University of Denver. The ensemble members met while completing degrees at the Eastman School of music. Out of Context has performed across the country specializing in exciting transcriptions and new works.
Out of Context will present music by Carl Heinrich Reinecke (1824-1910); Frederic Chopin (1819-1849); Ludwig van Beethoven (1770-1827); Johannes Brahms (1833-1897); and Camille Saint-Saens (1835-1921).
Seating is limited - free tickets available at the Museum beginning February 10th. Please arrive early. Due to popularity of the series, unused tickets will be reassigned to patrons on the waiting list at 7:00 P.M.
