Classical Guitar Society of Calgary Presents José Fermin June 8, 2007

Jose has been an active member of the guitar society for many years. He has served as a board member, and has served two consecutive terms as president of the Society. An active performer, Jose has been featured in the CGSC in ensembles, and as a soloist. He was a semi-finalist in the Portland International Guitar Competition, and took 2nd prize in the 2003 Northwest Guitar Festival and Competition.

Jose's master class experience is extensive, performing for Oscar Giglia, the Assad Brothers, the L.A.G.Q and Pepe Romero among many others. David Tannenbaum described him as having an intimate connection with the guitar, possessing great control over tone and dynamic, while Scott Tennant simply stated "you rock, man!”
