A walk around Lake Placid reveals many clues to the past, from geological history to the story behind the dam built in 1898 to the structures built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s. Even fallen trees have a story to tell of past times at Paris Mountain State Park, revealed in their rings. Try to find all the clues on your scavenger hunt sheet on this 1-mile walk around Lake Placid and nearby paths. Program fee is $5. per person. Admission fee is waived. Registration required.
