Collection Selections: De-Luxe is inspired by Laguna Gloria and its former owner/visionary Clara Driscoll. The house was built in 1916 in the architectural design of a Tuscan villa and served as the stage for elaborate social events for the elite. The featured works in this exhibition are selected from the museum's and local collections for their range of perspectives on the themes of luxury and excess. The photographs, installations, and paintings examine these themes through their content, material, or technique.
