ComedySportz to hold School Supply Drive to benefit DePelchin Children's Center August 7, 2009

You’ll be the teacher’s pet when you bring donations of new school supplies to the ComedySportz Arena in August. When you make a reservation for and commit to bring school supplies to a ComedySportz match on August 7, 8, 14 or 15, 2009, you’ll receive $2 off* each full price ticket. You can purchase a discounted ticket for each donated school supply item. (*Discount cannot be combined with other offers or coupons).

These school supplies will be donated to DePelchin Children’s Center, the largest provider of children’s social and mental health services in the Houston area. Your contributions can help make a child’s first day of school more comfortable and support DePelchin’s dedicated foster families.

The “Top 10" suggestion donations are: 1) construction paper; 2) crayons, markers, colored pencils; 3) tablets, graph and notebook paper; 4) packages of pens and mechanical pencils; 5) folders, binders, tab dividers; 6) boxes of Kleenex; 7) calculators; 8) plastic scissors; 9) gift cards for school uniforms; and 10) composition books.

The shows kick off at 8:00 p.m. every Friday and Saturday at the ComedySportz Arena, 901 Town & Country Blvd. (I-10 West and the Beltway). School supply donations will be accepted through August 15th with the discount applying to tickets for the 7th, 8th, 14th, and 15th.
