Featuring Alesha Doan, Assistant Professor of Political Science at the University of Kansas and author of The Politics of Virginity: Abstinence in Sex Education and Opposition and Intimidation: The Abortion Wars and Strategies of Political Harassment; and Susan Wood, Director of the Jacobs Institute of Women’s Health at The George Washington University and former Assistant Commissioner for Women’s Health at the Food and Drug Administration. Dr. Wood resigned from the FDA in response to the agency’s decision to once again delay approval of Plan B emergency contraception, despite the recommendation of scientific staff and advisory committees.
