Terrence McNally's controversial play. Jesus is "Joshua" a gay man in 1950's Corpus Christi, Texas. Originally played by 13 young men, Director Nic Arnzen plays with gender even more by having 6 women as male disciples. Very intense experience, Joshua is amazing, Judas sexy/dangerous, the relationship they share is touching....watching a woman play God, highly satisfying.

A gay Jesus! Inappropriate advances by his mother! Inappropriate advances by his roman catholic priest/football coach! Male AND female apostles! Gay marraige! A Judas so hot you'd do him yourself (but only Jesus gets to). This is a crazy retelling that is ultimately respectful to the source material believe it or not! Come see it-limited run!!

If you've wondered what it would be like if God was a Black Woman, this play is for you. If you dream of a more modern Jesus, this play is for you. If you appreciate sexy men taking off much of their clothing and baring their souls, again, this play is for you.
