Cosmic Explorer Workshop April 10, 2011

Don't miss out on the last cosmic explorer workshop of the season, so buckle your seat belts and blast off on a tour of our solar system. Learn how big the sun would be if the earth was the size of a peppercorn. Watch while we create our very own comet. You'll even find out how mint chocolate chip ice cream is just like our universe...although they taste a bit different! The fun is limitless, but space in the workshop isn't, so register now! Today's theme: Solar System Adventures: Discover and explore the many different worlds of our Solar System, Earth's celestial neighborhood. Make a model to take home, be immersed in up-to-the-minute data, and leave with an understanding of the variety of sizes, distances, and other wonders in our cosmic backyard (and also a planetary coloring book!). Note: Registration is required - registration closes at noon the Friday prior to the workshop. If a workshop is canceled or rescheduled, you will be notified as soon as possible.
