Michael W. Gozzo is President and Founder of THE TOTAL BUSINESS CONSULTING GROUP, INC., a firm specializing in counseling and education at all levels of management. The areas of expertise are: Supply Chain, Lean Thinking, Just-In-Time, Total Quality Management, Quality Systems (ISO, Six Sigma), Business Systems Selection & Implementation, Purchasing (Supplier Collaboration), Inventory Control and Production/Operations Management. His experience as a practitioner included seven years as Director of Operations at a division of Allied-Signal. He subsequently became a consultant and guided manufacturers and computer OEM's (Apple) in the planning and interface with their suppliers. Other experience in manufacturing and materials management spans such organizations as Timex Corporation, American Chain and Cable, Stanley Works, and other Fortune 100 companies. He has traveled and worked extensively in Canada, England, Hong Kong, Ireland, Scotland, Germany, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Indonesia, South Africa and Taiwan. Mr. Gozzo has an Executive Program Masters Degree from the University of New Haven, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Connecticut. He is certified as CPIM & CSCP by the Association of Operations Management (APICS). Michael is a member of the American Society for Quality (ASQ), Institute for Supply Management (ISM formerly NAPM), Society for Manufacturing Engineers (SME), and International Service Quality Association (ISQA). He has received training as an ISO Lead Assessor and has been respectively examined.

Mr. Gozzo is the co-author of "Made In America - The Total Business Concept", "Just-In-Time Purchasing", "Supplier Certification", "Behind Bars: Bar Coding Principles and Applications", and "People Empowerment - Success Through Involvement". In addition, he authored the APICS training aid entitled "Cycle Counting." He has also been a reviewer of manuscripts and publications provided by Quality Press (an ASQ subsidiary) and a member of the Board of Examiners for the Florida Governor's Sterling Award. He has also served as an Examiner for the Council for California Excellence. He has been selected to Who's Who in American Mfg.
