"Creative Women" Exhibition of Photos by Tony Vaccaro March 9, 2008

All visitors to this site are cordially invited to attend the reception and party for the opening of "Creative Women", an exhibition of over 50 original vintage phtotographs from Life, Look, Venture, Travel and Leisure and other magazines and publications taken by photojournalist and celebrity photographer Tony Vaccaro over the past 40 years. The reception will be held at the site of the show, The New Rochelle Library, from 5 to 7 p.m. on Sunday March 9th.

Featured are shots of famous film and stage actresses, operatic personalities, visual artists, literary figures and other women who have been celebrated for their creativity over the years. Vaccaro will be at the reception to speak with visitors and to accept requests for autographs. There will be refresnments and entertainment and admission is free. All photography enthusiasts are invited to bring their cameras, whether film or digital, as Vaccaro works in both formats, and is always willing to discuss photography in all its forms with visitors. The exhibition is being presented by The New Rochelle Council on The Arts, a not-for-profit community arts organization established in 1975.
