What is a "cultural landscape?" At the William Floyd Estate, you can see how the Floyd family manipulated, changed and adapted their land for multiple uses over the years. The landscape tells the story of the history of this property, as it went from a colonial plantation to a working farm and then to a summer estate and hunting preserve. Evidence of all the changes still exists, if you know how to read the landcape. This 1 -hour walking tour will cover approximately 1-2 miles. Wear your walking shoes and dress for the weather!
