A New Organization:
Sparsh is a new non-profit, entirely volunteer run organization to support health-care projects for disadvantaged children in India. The particular area of focus is support for needy children with congenital heart disease, in need of open-heart surgeries to save their lives. It costs only $2,000 for an open heart surgery in India, about 3% of what it costs in the US ($60,000 - $70,000)! There are many children in dire need of these surgeries, but their families cannot even come close to paying for them. And they do not have any other sources of governmental or other support. You can make a perceptible difference in saving a child's life. We request you to donate what you can and get involved in the work that Sparsh does by spreading the word, volunteering time, attending events such as DANCE india. We need your support!
