The DC Improv Comedy Club is featuring a special local comedy showcase in our Comedy Lounge. DC is notorious for launching the careers of such comedy greats as, Dave Chappelle, Lewis Black, Tommy Davidson and Wanda Sykes. Five local comedians will be performing. # Doug Powell - With an infectious energy and an authentic persona, Doug Powell is spreading his love of comedy to everyone who has the opportunity to see him perform. Brought up in the Washington DC comedy scene, and with over eight years of experience on stage, Doug is mastering his craft one audience at a time. His insights are fresh and thought provoking, his stage presence is familiar and inviting, and his unusual look at life is hilarious.
# Steve Coltrain - Steve Coltrain is a Washington, DC- based comic who has appeared regularly at the DC Improv for more than ten years, opening for comedy giants Robert Shimmel, Tommy Davidson and John Henton, among others. Steve has also been heard locally on MIX 107.3, 98 Rock and most recently on Sportstalk 980.

of course you can bring your laptop and do demos, but there won't be a projector, expect people to crowd around your screen :)
