“Deep Roots” Community Eucharist September 24, 2009

Our next Community Eucharist will be held at 7:00pm on Thursday, September 24th. This “Roots Music” Mass will feature saxophonist John Rohde and his friends (on keyboard, bass, guitar, and vocals). They played for our Jazz Mass last year and were amazing! “Roots Music” is a term used to describe the broad category of American folk music including influences of: bluegrass, country music, gospel, old time music, blues, Cajun, rock and roll, rhythm and blues, and jazz. We’ll welcome as our guest preacher the Rev. Dahn Gandell of the diocese of Rochester . Mother Dahn is the rector of St. John’s , Honeoye Falls , a nationally known preacher, and award-winning stand up comic!
