This North African collection of jewelry and photography assembled by Xavier Guerrand-Hermes over several decades provides insight into the region's changing societies. North African arts include variations of delicate pottery, beautifully embroidered and woven textiles, elegant woodwork, leatherwork and metalwork, and intricate silver and gold jewelry. The exhibition includes compelling images showing daily life in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, and a wide range of jewelry illustrates the diversity and enduring beauty of North Africa's artistic traditions.

Please do not purchase tickets to any circus featuring animal acts. Circuses use inhumane tactics to teach animals tricks that they would otherwise not do in their natural environment. They are confined to small quarters when not performing. These animals travel most of the year. In the wild, elephants travel up to 30 miles a day and live in herds. Please visit www.circuses.com for more information and videos on the cruel treatment of circus animals. Please teach your kids kindness and compassion by not visiting the circus. Instead, educate them on the plight of animals who are exploited for profit. Instead visit www.elephants.com and learn about a great sanctuary that has been established to take in retired circus elephants and those rescued when confiscated by the USDA.
