Discovering the Marsh - Winter Hike February 26, 2011

Meet us at the Wilderness Visitor Center for an exciting ranger guided 3-mile hike through Fire Island's salt marsh! Learn how the animals and plants adapt for survival during the winter months. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled for seasonal wildlife encounters, you may even be able to spot a snowy owl! Parking is available at Smith Point County Park for a fee. Dress for the weather and bring a snack and water.
