Diversey Harbor Cleanup Day May 9, 2009

The Diversey Yacht Club is hosting a Harbor Cleanup on May 9th, 2009. The event will take place from 8:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. A team of volunteer scuba divers will dive the harbor and bring up as much junk as possible. A 40 foot Boom Crane is also being provided to help facilitate the removal of various pipes, chairs, and other larger debris. We need volunteers to assist with the movement of debris to our dumpsters. This is your chance to contribute to the Lincoln Park Community and a chance for everyone to be “GREEN” and keep Diversey Harbor area clean. Afterwards, we will have a lunch at the Diversey Harbor Club House for the Volunteers and clean up crews and some raffle prizes for “Clean Up The Harbor Day” participants. Come make this enjoyable event of the day and help keep the Diversey Harbor area the cleanest of the Chicago harbors.
