A Portland native, Nomad DJ learned to DJ in the San Francisco underground trance scene, picking up spots at random house parties and small warehouse parties. Returning to Portland after the death of his mother in late 2003, Nomad DJ set upon the task of gaining recognition in the PDX club scene. He developed his current style, meshing progressive house, atmospheric breakbeats, driving techno, and dark trance into musical journeys that express his own inner emotions.
