MASS MoCA commissioned a new work by artist Don Gummer for the plaza outside the T. William Lewis Building on Marshall St. The work, entitled Primary Separation, was first designed by Gummer in 1969, and has existed up to now only in maquette form: this is its first full-scale realization.

Yay! Dweezmister is coming to the East Coast! I've not heard their family's noise since leaving The Valley! I miss that drive past the sightless sound recordist every day on the Boulevard just past your studio. I was always greated like I was walking in their front door. Wild. And on my way out at night down the same street, the Vamps from Buffy The Vampire Slayer would be escorting people down the Boulevard in their BMWs on their way to nighttime filming at the Studio. Miss ya Spike! Surreal! So 40s. "Hey, guys, let's put on a show!" Oh so Garland....
