Dorval Mainstreets Event May 30, 2009

Rues Principales Dorval, en collaboration avec la Cité de Dorval, fêtera le retour de l’été en tenant la première Promenade Estivale à Dorval, le samedi 30 mai 2009 de 10 h à 17 h (le 31 mai en cas de pluie) le long du chemin du Bord-du-Lac dans le village de Dorval.

Ce samedi 30 mai 2009, à l’occasion de la Promenade Estivale à Dorval, Bryan Comeau fera une démonstration de tournage sur bois en confectionnant un crayon et un bol en bois.

Nous aurons aussi la chance de voir et d’entendre performer Bryan Clarke à la guitare et servirons quelques-uns de nos produits en dégustation.

Venez vous promener en famille, avec vos amis et vos voisins, et découvrez diverses activités dont des ventes de trottoir, des barbecues, des dégustations de bières, des échantillonnages de produits, des expositions historiques, des massages et des évaluations posturales gratuites, de la musique, des tirages et beaucoup plus! De plus, une vingtaine d’artistes et d’artisans, ainsi que le Bonhomme Michelin accompagné d’une voiture de Formule 1 seront sur place. Enfin, ne ratez pas le spectacle de magie du magicien Blair Marshall et la performance époustouflante de l’orchestre de l’école secondaire Jean XXIII. Venez en grand nombre redécouvrir le village de Dorval, un endroit où il fait bon magasiner et vivre!

Cet événement est possible grâce à la collaboration de plusieurs organismes incluant le Centre Oméga, la Société historique de Dorval, l’école secondaire Jean XXIII et tous les bénévoles de Rues Principales Dorval.

Dorval Main Streets, in cooperation with the City of Dorval, will be celebrating the return of the fun-filled days of summer with the first-ever Summer Stroll Through Dorval event, which will be held on Saturday May 30, 2009 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (rain date: Sunday, May 31) along Lakeshore Drive in Dorval Village.

Here at Urban Agenda Bryan Comeau will be doing a wood pen making and wood bowl making demonstration in front of the cafe, and Bryan Clarke, Urban Agendas’ resident musician will be playing his guitar along with members of his band. We will also be inviting you to sample some of our treats and coffees from around the world.

Gather your family, friends and neighbors and enjoy a lovely summer stroll through an assortment of wonderful activities including sidewalk sales, barbecues, beer sampling, product testing, free massages and posture evaluations, historical exhibitions, music, prize draws and more! Also, more than twenty artists and artisans, as well as the Michelin Man accompanied by a Formula 1 race car, will be on hand. Lastly, don’t miss the magic show with magician Blair Marshall or the spectacular performance of the Jean XIII high school orchestra. Come and experience Dorval Village… A great place to shop and live!
