Down by the River Family Camp Out Jam! July 24, 2009

It's that time again! Don't miss Highview's Great Outdoors annual Down by the River Tubing event at WATERMELON PARK in BERRYVILLE, VA this year! We are preparing for an even bigger and better time than last!

This time we are inviting you and your family to stay with us and camp out over Friday night, July 24th. We will enjoy quality time, fireside chat with mentors both, men and women, roasting s'mores, sharing stories and so much more. A great time for everyone to EXHALE. It's been a busy year.

On Saturday, July 25th is truly the "Down By the River." It's just one big picnic, cookout where we go tubing (slowly floating) on the Shenandoah River (ages 4+). Before returning to fire up the grills fellowship and share in some powerful youth discussions hosted by our special guests. Saving the best for last, of course, live performances by Kurtis Blow and other special guests.

SO, bring the kids, invite their friends. Old Skool parents.. invite YOUR friends...come along and get your Ol Skool on....and by all means, bring ya Kangol!!

Tickets will ONLY be sold in advance and are $10.00 per person for Friday's nights campout. Saturday: $35.00 per person for ages 15 and up, $10.00 per person for ages 7-14, and 6 and under are FREE. Tubing is included and Group discounts are available.

Watermelon Park is located on a beautiful bend of the Shenandoah River with a newly renovated bathhouse, and hot showers. Tubing will be free, however, there are kayak rentals, picnic areas, fishing, canoeing, and a camp store on site.

We'd love to have you stay with us over Friday night. if you've never camped before we'll have some experienced campers with us. Whatever you do, don't miss Saturday, July 25th! Bring your frisbees, footbals and favorite foods for grilling and let's have a great time.
