This Pulitzer Prize-winning play by Alfred Uhry is set in mid-century Atlanta, Driving Miss daisy tells the story of an elderly Jewish matron, Daisy Werthan, and her chauffeur, Hoke Coleburn. At first Daisy is none to happy about being forced to rely on a black man, who her son has hired to "drive" her around town, after she has wrecked the car and destroyed a garage and a tool shed. But Hoke gradually wins her over, and during the 25-year span of the play the two develop a deep-rooted affection. The play is a delicate depiction of racial tensions and of growing old. Alfred Uhry, the playwright, has created two outsiders who come to a mutual respect based on their independence, strength, and stubborn integrity.

Featuring Karen Lynn, Percy Littleton, and John Harris. Directed by Bob Baker and Tanja Miller.
