The Dzogchen Buddha Institute is pleased to announce the 4th Annual Dzogchen Spring Retreat lead by H.E. Dzogchen Khenpo Choga Rinpoche. The retreat will begin immediately following H.H. Dalai Lama's teachings in San Francisco, beginning at 7:00 PM on Sunday, April 29, 2007, with the full retreat ending early afternoon on Saturday, May 5, 2007. For those who have not had the opportunity to receive teachings from Khenpo Choga, he has a remarkable ability to convey Buddha's teachings clearly and concisely in English to both beginning and advanced Buddhist practitioners. He encourages students to raise questions to eliminate confusion and doubt, and devotes a significant amount of teaching time to answering questions from students during group dialogs.
There are three retreat options including 1-evening, 3-day, and 6-day durations. Food and lodging are not included in the fees for this urban-style retreat. Scholarships may be available.
A refuge ceremony will be offered during the first three days of the retreat. For those participating in the full retreat, Rinpoche will bestow the Avalokiteshvara Empowerment according to Kriya Tantra on Friday, May 4.
Everyone is welcome to attend. Please register in advance.
