Pennypack Farm is holding an e-waste recycling event at the Temple Ambler campus parking lot on Saturday, 9/25 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Did you get a new computer for school, the latest smart phone or perhaps a new flat screen TV? New technology is great, but how can you dispose of your old stuff? Bring it to this recycling event!

Bring: Computers, monitors, copiers, printers, laptops, fax machines, keyboards, computer accessories & cables, DVD and video players, electronic games, personal planners, cell phones, TVs, video cameras, server components, routers, modems, telephones, radios, amplifiers, record players, etc. They will also accept air conditioners and microwaves @ $15.00 each.

1. Reclaim wasted space in your house or office.
2. Redirect the plastics, metals and toxic compounds contained in electronic junk from landfills into useful products through hand-dismantlement and reclamation.
3. Provide needed employment in a Work Empowerment Zone in the Philadelphia area.
4. Boost the Pennypack Farm Growing Fund through its share of the recycling fee. Money in the fund will be used to buy capital equipment to help feed more people in the region.

Volunteers will meet you at your car and help unload your stuff onto carts. It will be weighed and you will be charged a nominal fee of 40 cents per pound.

Spread the word! Tell your friends and office mates. Check with your employer - this is a great way for a company to clean up their used equipment and help a good cause.

The electronic waste will be processed by eForce Compliance in Philadelphia.
