California’s oldest Armenian congregation will mark the beginning of Thanksgiving Season by hosting its Eighth Annual Harvest Festival.
The Festival will take place on the campus of Fresno’s First Armenian Presbyterian Church from 5:30 to 8 p.m. on October 31, 2009. The Church Campus is located at 430 South First Street at historic Huntington Boulevard in Fresno.
The festival is designed for children ages pre-school through the sixth grade, their families, and for the young at heart. Admission is free and open to the public. More information is available by calling (559) 237-6638 or e-mailing associate@fapc.net.
Festival activities and attractions will include a gourmet hot dog dinner, bounce house, carnival games with candy prizes, Ringo Bingo, nonstop popcorn, Dance Dance Revolution, among many others.
Guests of all ages are invited to wear friendly costumes to the seasonal “open house” gathering.
Chartered by pioneering agriculturalists on July 25, 1897, FAPC is a member congregation of the Presbyterian Church (USA) and the Armenian Evangelical Union of North America.
Reverend Mgrdich Melkonian is Senior Pastor of the congregation, Reverend Aren Balabanian is Associate Pastor, and Shant Barsoumian, M.Div. is the Pastoral Intern.
