Empty Bowls of Cheyenne is a fundraiser to benefit Cheyenne's Comea House and help some of those families who may have fallen on hard times.
Empty Bowls of Cheyenne was inspired by a project in Michigan nearly 20 years ago and started in Cheyenne in 2006 at Johnson Jr. High School. This grassroots fundraiser has grown from the cafeteria at Johnson to a city wide project incorporating all three Jr. High schools in Cheyenne (as well as many other sponsors, volunteers and contributing artists).
The idea is simple. You come to our fundraiser on April 27th and donate $10. Then you get to choose a beautiful bowl from the hundreds donated by our student artists. Fill your bowl with some delicious soup and share a meal with us.
Meet some new folks from the community who have similar interests and be entertained by a great lineup of entertainers.
Keep the bowl! Let it be a reminder of all the empty bowls in our community and in our world.
All the while helping out great cause here in Cheyenne.
