Pay Justice Action meeting
Equal pay battle: the community sector FWA decision – what now?

Wednesday 21 March, 6:30 pm, Solidarity Salon, 580 Sydney Road, Brunswick.

The headline in The Age on 1 February proclaimed, “Equal-pay push lands workers big rise.” Workers in the community sector have fought long and hard for equal pay but does this deliver? Hear Australian Services Union (ASU) workplace delegate, Debbie Brennan, provide an assessment of what the Fair Work Australia ruling means for this low paid predominantly female workforce. She will analyse the decision, report on a recent ASU mass meeting and explore what will be needed to achieve equal pay.

There will also be an opportunity to get involved in the ongoing grass roots campaign efforts, which Pay Justice Action is spearheading. All welcome – especially rank and file unionists and workplace activists and delegates.
