Singer, writer, and performer born in Houston, Malcolm began singing professionally at the age of 16; recording with local Gospel choirs which developed a unique soulful sound that he brought over into the secular market. Working with many artists in mainstream R & B and Funk, his vocal style has been compared to such early legends as Bobby Womack, Al Green, Johnnie Taylor, and Sam Cooke; and such contemporary artists as Gerald and Eddie Levert and Joe and David Hollister. Malcolm definitely is unique - with his style, charisma, and musical abilities, capuring audiences around the country. He is presently on tour for his latest CD, "Find Me a Lover." This fall will see his second R & B project entitled "The Uniqueness of Malcolm Allen."
