Head to camp this September. Learn and have fun like the kids do. If you're ready to be more active and creative with your photography, join the F-11 Senior Photo Camp. Each exciting, interactive session focuses on “seeing” and “doing” while learning to use a camera to take better picture and all skill levels are welcome. Learn to express your unique ideas through photography by taking pictures of important parts of your life: family, people, pets, favorite objects, nature settings, and more. Get hands-on instruction about cropping, using light, getting up close or stepping back, photographing from different angles, simplifying the scene, and building imagination through the language of photography.
Interactive sessions include listening and viewing time, conversation and movement, indoor and outdoor photography sessions in and around F-11 Photo, a critique, refreshments, along with editing and printing from the kiosks. Instructor Nancy Lande leads your journey Photography has been part of her life for over 40 years. Nancy’s skill and enthusiasm are truly contagious. She has a teaching certificate, graduate degrees and has taught over the span of four decades.
The F-11 Senior’s Photo Camp meets Friday September 17, 24, October 1, 8, and 15 from 1:30-4:30 p.m. There's just 5-8 spaces available and pre-registration is required. Bring a digital camera, charged battery, an empty card and your imagination. The $125 fee includes printing up to fifty 4x6 photos, three 8x10 photos, a portfolio, snacks, and a customized item with the camper’s own photo. At registration, F-11 Photo is offering discounts on several inexpensive senior-friendly camera packages for campers who need a digital camera or want a new one. At the end of the camp, there will be a show of the campers' work.
