Irvine Institute for Environmental Education - FALL WILDFLOWER IDENTIFICATION, 2 Sessions. Turtleheads, mints, bugleweed, goldenrods, asters and many other members of the composite family are just a few of the wildflowers blooming during the fall season. Join Dwight Johnson and learn how to closely examine the characteristics of a wildflower, and how to identify it using a variety of botanical keys, including Newcomb's Wildflower Guide, Brown and Brown's Herbaceous Plants of Maryland and others. The course includes both indoor and outdoor experiences, including a Sunday field trip along the Gunpowder River. Fee: $20 members, $35 non-members.
