Greetings from Big Bear Cafe!

Our Sunday dinner series is a unique experience for the community. Our chef, Clementina, sources only the best and most delicious local and seasonal ingredients. Jesse, the newest addition to the Big Bear family, will be your host for the evening. The meal takes place family-style at our communal table. You can sit back and unwind with a quality 3-course dinner amongst wonderful company.

For this week's menu, we sourced our beef from Capital Meats’ local farm program that relies solely on local family owned farms from the hills of Maryland, Virginia, and southern Pennsylvania. All of our produce is from the Tuscarora Organic Growers Cooperative, a group of certified organic fruit & vegetable farmers in south central PA who drive their produce down to us every week.

Last Sunday our guests dined outside, so our fingers are crossed for perfect weather. Nothing beats eating underneath the stars on a warm spring night!

The menu:

I. Stracciatella (Italian spinach and egg-drop soup)

II. Brisket in Montepulciano
Braised spring greens
Smashed potatoes

III. Almond-milk granita, chocolate-dipped cocoa biscotti

The price per person is $42 for dinner, and $55 for dinner with the paired wine (bottles will be on the table).
