Female Poet / Spoken Word Artists Search April 1, 2009

I'm reaching out to all of you artistic people, and those of you who simply love to support the arts and artistic individuals. In a few months, we will be releasing the pre-release issue of Spoken Magazine. Since we are an Arts-Entertainment publication we cooked up a little something to combine the two.

If you are a female poet / spoken word artist, or you know a female poet / spoken word artist that you think packs a good 1 - 2 combo ( that's beauty and word-play), we would like to know about them.

If interested in our “Hottest Female Poets” contest, please submit the the following to editor@spokenmagazine.net Subject: Hottest Female Poet

Minimum of 2 pics, no more than 3 , and one must be a head shot

Highly Preferred, but not required: link to video or audio of performance

Brief Bio: must be at least one paragraph, but not more than two.

Short sample of of written work. (two to three stanzas should suffice) Choose well, and don't send more than three stanzas or we'll be forced to decide which segment of your piece is best.

Complete interview of the winner will be featured in Spoken Magazine as well as the bios of the top four.

Deadline for all entries is midnight, May 1, 2009

Please submit all images as .jpg files and bio and sample work should be Word doc. Or PDF.
