One day, two angry gangsters mistook him for L.A. Millionaire Jeffrey Lebowksi, whose wife owes them money. The two gansters broke into his house and urinated on his rug. The Dude went to visit the real Lebowski in order to get some retribution for his soiled rug and is recruited to be the liaison between Lebowski and the captors of Lebowski's now kidnapped wife. He enlists the help of his bowling buddy, gun-toting Walter, to assist him on his new job, as this simple case of mistaken identity entangles them into a complex kidnapping plot.
