First State Youth Orchestra and Little Strings Begins 2010 Season September 10, 2009

Student musicians who attend public, private, or home schools and live below the C&D Canal are invited to participate in First State Strings orchestras.

First State Youth Orchestra (FSYO) accepts intermeditae to advanced level musicians. Conducted by Eliezer Gutman, FSYO rehearses Mondays from 7 to 8:15pm in the Education and Humanities Theater at Delaware State University in Dover. Seating auditions will be held Monday, Sept.21, for violin, viola, cello, string bass, oboe, flute, clarinet, bassoon, French horn, trumpet, trombone, tuba, percussion, and harp. New students are accepted throughout the season.
The season fee for FSYO, from Sept.thru mid-May, is $220.

Little Strings Orchestra (LS), for beginner to indermediate stings, percussion, and piano, is directed by Laura Rogers. LS rehearses Fridays from 4:30 to 5:30pm at the Wesley United Methodist Church in Dover. No auditions are required. New students are accepted throughout the season.
The season fee for Little Strings, from Sept.through mid-May, is $175.
