Fools Gold: Candid Portraiture by Christelle Imperial de Castro March 30, 2006

Photographer Christelle Imperial de Castro takes cues from her theatre background to capture candid portraits in her native San Francisco. The core elements of her work are truth and emotion, which her subjects express in well-composed snapshots. Her first solo show, entitled Fools Gold, will include her limited-edition four piece lightbox set for which she received recognition in San Francisco. The event will be held at The Showroom NYC in Manhattan?s East Village. An opening reception will be held on March 30th from 7-11 p.m., and her work will remain on view until April 6th.
