Foreign Film at the Library February 19, 2009

The Palos Verdes Library District is pleased to welcome a Foreign Film presented by Chadwick International Cinema (ChIC). Show time starts at 5:30pm, Thursday, February 19 in the Peninsula Center Library Community Room. The film is free and open to the public. Following the film, there may be a brief discussion facilitated by Chadwick students and their teacher.
About the film: (2 hours, 38 minutes, Mandarin with English subtitles, Rated R for language; 1993) This film explores the effect of China's political turmoil during the mid-20th century. The film is an adaptation of the novel by Lilian Lee.
