Formal Garden Restoration Tour June 2, 2011

One hundred years ago Lila Webb created the Italianate gardens we know today. Join Douglas Porter, architectural conservator for Shelburne Farms, as he takes you on an intimate tour of the major, multi-year garden restoration project currently underway and shares exciting plans for the future. Birgit Deeds, head gardener, will also highlight the historic plant material used throughout the garden rooms. Lunch at the Inn featuring ingredients produced on the Farm is included.
