Classes qualify first-time buyers for State’s House Key Home Loan Program

The Master Builders Association of King and Snohomish Counties is offering free home buyer education classes for anyone interested in buying a home. The classes are the first step in qualifying for the Washington State Housing Finance Commission’s House Key State Bond program, which provides below-market interest rates, low mortgage payments and down payment assistance loan programs to assist eligible homebuyers.

The House Key certificate is good for up to two years. However, class space is limited, as is funding for the House Key Program, so prospective buyers are encouraged to act now to take advantage of several home buyer assistance programs available.
