Free Internet Safety Presentation Sponsored by Highland Senior High School March 21, 2009

The event will be on Saturday, March 21, 2009 at the Anderson Public Library in the Miami Room. There will be refreshments/continental breakfast served from 9:30 AM - 10:00 AM. The presentation by the Hamilton County Metro Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force will begin at 10:15 AM and conclude at 12:00 Noon and is free to attendees. (No children should be present.)

Parents, Grandparents, family members, and anyone concerned with a child’s safety in relation to the internet is invited to attend. Computers are accessible to our children in the home, friend’s houses, schools, libraries, anywhere one can imagine. Come and learn the newest information detailing how predators are targeting the children in our community and steps you can take to safeguard their safety.

*One in 17 youth were threatened or harassed in the past year.

*One in 5 youth received a sexual approach or solicitation over the Internet in the past year.
