In the two years since its conception, Rong has grown from being a small but well supported night Area 51 in Manchester to hosting whopping sell out shows at Venus! Having hosted the second room of the legendary Warehouse Project venue on two occasions, for the massive Armin Van Burren and Gareth Emery, Rong was firmly stamped on the Northwest’s circuit!
One the UK’s biggest dance magazines, Mixmag, couldn’t miss the hype being created around Rong, it was practically hammering the door down! Wasn’t long before they voted it as second best night of their kind in the country and whacked in the column inches to cement their seal of approval. Hosting some of the biggest trance names in the industry such as Giuseppe Ottaviani, Rank 1, Menno De Jong, Aly and Fila, Judge Jules, Simon Patterson and Claudia Cazacu, Rong has made its mark as one of the biggest and best nights in the UK! This is one event you can’t afford to miss!
This month the crowds at Venus will be welcoming the mind blowing Andy Moor to the decks for Rong! In his illustrious career, Andy has established a distinct, edgy and creative sound that’s all his own. This sound, combined with his technical perfection led him to be highly ranked in the DJ Mag Top 100 for the past 6 years. In 2009 he was nominated in the DJ Awards, 2006 he won “Best Dance Record” at the International Dance Music Awards and in 2004 he won “Best Trance Producer” and “Best Trance Track”.

Joining Andy is Alex M.O.R.P.H; one of Germany´s most prominent Trance DJs and producers has grown to be stand-out personality in global dance music. Alex M.O.R.P.H. was able to establish and redefine himself and his sound again and again; delivering a massive palette of highly respected quality productions and remixes over the years - with some of the biggest names in the business like Armin van Buuren, Paul van Dyk, Faithless, Markus Schulz, Rank 1 and many more!

Included in the debut Rong line up over 2 years ago was Belfast-born Greg Downey and he’s finally back for more! Greg began DJing over six years ago, shortly before he decided to pack up and move to Ibiza for the summer with his records. While playing at a dingy San Antonio after-party, he was spotted by the promoter of Gatecrasher, who was so impressed he asked him to play the following week at Space! Greg has worked hard to establish himself firmly among the best young DJs in the world!
Returning is one of our regulars and crowd favourites Chris Metcalfe. At the young age of just 24 Chris has managed to stamp his mark firmly on the EDM scene. He has been supported by every major Trance jock you can think of; this young DJ is making massive waves in the trance scene and Rong is behind him all the way! Chris's debut track got personally snapped up by one of the world’s best’s DJs - Armin Van Buuren to his Armada record label and has since had tracks on John O'Callaghan's Subculture label.

These four heavy weights are being supported by Craig Connely, James Rigby and Pete Bromage!
