FSDA will close its season with a panel discussion, A Call to Action! Howard Blackson, a planner and design consultant, will moderate a discussion on the building of local cultural, social and economic value despite San Diego's long-standing aversion to Civic Building and now more complicated by the current economic recession. Panelists will be well-known architects Mike Stepner, Rob Quigley, Mark Steele and Urbanist Frank Wolden. Topics will include our waterfront, convention center, city hall, libraries. The audience will have an opportunity to ask questions after the break.
Proceeds from this meeting will go towards a scholarship fund in honor of Harriet Gill, Founder of Friends of San Diego Architecture.
