FSU Appalachian Festival Symposium, Appalachia: People & Place
The Festival kicks off with a presentation series focusing on the work Frostburg State faculty and students are doing in the Appalachian Region. Come hear about bobcats in Mountain Maryland, ethnobotany, mapping efforts, arts and entertainment endeavors and more! From there, head over to Mountain City Traditional Arts for an Appalachian clogging workshop. Round out the evening at Frostburg's Historic Palace Theatre for a showing of the Academy Award Winning Harlan County, USA.
And be up by 10 on the 19th to attend the FREE outdoor Festival on FSU's upper quad (between Old Main and the Compton Science Center).
