Gajanana - Art Exhibition. Ganesha in different forms through the medium of paintings, sculptures, murals will be presented by six artists. The participating artists are Vibha Singh, Dr. Meenakshi Gupta, Padmini Mehta, Rajshree Pawar, Dr. Deepshikha, and Dr. Nisha Sharma. Ganesha is today the most popular and loved of the gods of the Hindu pantheon. Nothing auspicious takes place without involving his name. The exhibition brings forward the relevance and importance of Ganesha in present times. He has a special place in the affection of the people. Even more important is his adaptability in the modern context. There are no strict or rigid rules or cannons. Ganesha can be worshipped and presented in any form even as a small triangular pyramid of turmeric. In paintings oil, water, metal, stone and metal sculpture contemporary artists find great joy in creating modern art and impressionistic paintings of this deity. Artists manifest Ganesha in different hues, colors and mediums. Contemporary Ganesha by all the participating artists are attractive and colorful covering all aspects of this greatly adored deity which will be of equal interest to the laymen, the devotee and the art lovers.
