Reins of Life is a therapeutic horseback-riding program for children and young adults with special needs. This program is driven by volunteers who hold a love for horses and have a desire to give back to the community. Volunteers, like myself, spend many rewarding hours with special children who need this program, as well as with special horses and instructors who make it happen.


Reins of Life is not able to only rely on the work of volunteers, however. Each year we seek out funds and sponsorships from our friends, family & the community in order to cover the program costs and maintain our horses. This year we have been presented with the opportunity to expand our program into a new facility at Wolf’s Hollow Farm in Atglen, PA and we have been fortunate enough to have a few wonderful horses donated to our program.
